{Areum Event Co.} Salt Lake City Industrial Chic Bridal Session

Ashley. Freaking. Francis. Blows my mind. This styled shoot was designed by Ashley of Areum Event Co., and we  had SO MUCH FUN working together. She is a BOMB wedding planner and florist, and has the most gorgeous vision EVERY TIME we get to work with each other. Coming up next month is a New Years Eve wedding at Publik Coffee Co. that we got to work on together, and holy freak, she is good. Stay tuned.

Living downtown has opened my eyes to the insane beauty of the city. While driving through the west side of Salt Lake, I was immediately struck with inspiration from the depth and grunge of the freeway underpass, and the shapes and edges of the cement factory it intersects with. This couple was so magical to work with,  and Ashley Francis of Areum Event Co. had the most incredible vision for the drama and color of this session. The way she implemented the stone and shapes of the industrial edge was absolutely stunning, and the geometric backdrop of our shoot paired with its strong mid-century modern influence created the most perfect space for edges + color. How rad it can be where you can find the least expected beauty in the most unexpected places.
Freaking rad.

{GEO + GOLD} Sugar Rush Photography Inspiration Shoot

Lovers. There are not enough amazing things to say in this world to describe how it was working with this group of TALENTED artists. Every vendor brought something beautifully unique to the table to make this shoot sparkle, and I am so insanely grateful. Melany and Curtis were such dashing models, and were an absolute JOY to work with, in addition to both being GORGEOUS people. My very favorite April Davis helped me in so many ways to put this together, and to push me to keep going when I rapidly burned out. Oh, and thank you, April, for playing the most dirty, DIRTY, delightful hip hop to keep me in the mood for awesomeness.

I learned so many things by putting this type of shoot on for the first time. And I learned reallll fast that THIS IS HARD. Finding vendors, locations, inspiration, models, details, and even ordering pizza (thank you Jon :) ALL. TAKES. WORK. And even more time.
Sugar Rush Photo + Video has been so blessed by continuing to book throughout the 2015 year, and are SO thrilled to say we are booked ALMOST every month into September (May brides, you know you want to ;). And because we have been blessed with incredible business and even MORE incredible clients, this fall was cray cray. I learned immediately that planning something gigantic in November shouldn't always count on the security blanket of being "slow" in the fall, because we most definitely weren't. We had amazing formal sessions, bridal sessions, family sessions, last minute Cali trips (because Disney needed us), and a million other things happening while trying to put this together. Which is why I am SO grateful to April and every other vendor that I am about to name, for making this SO much easier. Every single person had their beautiful, sparkly shiz together, and we were able to collaborate in a vivid, FUN, most incredibly unique way. I am so appreciative of all the hours and money spent by our talented vendors, and the time and sexy-skills of our outstandingly HOT models, that made this happen as magically as it did. They all make my life complete.

So.... brides. If you want to plan the world's raddest wedding and be inspired every second of the journey by some VITAL wedding magicians, here is what you should copy and paste into your Pinterest board. Thank you all for stopping by, sending some love, and always being so incredible. We have the best clients, and get to work alongside the best wedding professionals out there.
Enjoy the magic.
